Announcement of the new Governance Forum Albert Oriol Bosch at the General Assembly of La Unió

Roser Fernández, Xavier Trias y Helena Ris en la Asamblea de La UnióCostaisa has attended the Ordinary General Assembly of La Unió, the patronal of the health and social entities of Catalonia, which has gathered in the CaixaForum of Girona about 100 entities Associates, as well as representatives of the Administration and representative institutions of the sector.

During the event, the new Albert Oriol Bosch Governance Forum was presented. It will work to reflect on the challenges that employers must face and the entities they represent, in the face of a new and increasingly complex model of society with a variety of change factors: increased life expectancy, digitalization of processes, multiplication of communication channels, new family models, climate crisis or empowerment of citizens, among others.

The Forum pays tribute to Dr. Albert Oriol Bosch who passed away this year, and who has been a reference for Catalan health and has left a very important legacy for future generations of health professionals after more than two decades as Director General of the Institute of Health Studies. Oriol Bosch was the architect of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid, honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia and, internationally, he was also president of the Association for Medical Education in Europe.

La Unió is the oldest and oldest health and social business organization in Catalonia. Currently, there are more than 100 institutions with more than 60,000 workers, in specialized, primary, social and health care, mental health, dependency, image diagnosis, rehabilitation, clinical analysis laboratories and health transport.
