Costaisa renews its certification for software development project management with CMMI

Planificación

Costaisa has renewed its maturity 2 level certification awarded by the CMMI Institute, which covers the management of software development projects, both for new developments and the evolution of the electronic clinical history product Chaman.

This certification was gained for the first time in 2012 by Costaisa's Studies Division and was due to be updated three years later in 2015. In April we carried out an evaluation of our level of maturity with respect to a selection of projects whose features satisfied the evaluation criteria. Six phases of the process were passed with flying colours, without any aspects that could be considered weaknesses in management processes.

According to Albert Escofet, Studies Division Manager, "this renewal should allow our continuous improvement process to continue to go forward by further developing certain aspects of project management, and it also encourages us to try to reach level 3, which certifies that processes are "Defined" in addition to being "Managed", as defined by CMMI".
