VMworld reinvents itself and VMware Explore arrives with cybersecurity and data sovereignty as protagonists

VMware ExploreCostaisa has attended VMware Explore, one of the main technical events organized by VMware internationally and held in Europe for years in Barcelona. The event was inaugurated by Rangarajan Raghuram, VMware CEO, who focused on the business opportunities offered by the diversity of options in cloud services today, which do not make it easy for IT departments to make decisions.

Sessions focused on cybersecurity solutions, workload protection and data sovereignty, as well as VMware Tanzu, VMware's commitment to modernizing Kubernetes-based applications. It has also shown what's new in vSphere 8, and management in hybrid environments.

VMware's value proposition is based on "an intelligent cloud" that allows it to move quickly between the main cloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, Google or the recent additions to the Oracle and IBM clouds.

The event also announced the start of the purchase process of VMware by the multinational Broadcom, which is expected to end in 2023, when it will become its main software division.
