It is five years since the creation and first implementation of Docentis, with the Hospital Clínic

Logo de DocentisNearly 1,000 tutors and more than 4,000 residents make up the community of Docentis users who year after year use this platform to manage the monitoring of their teaching, healthcare and research activities. This solution allows for a collaborative and online environment, where managers, tutors and residents can centralize all their daily operations, collect all the documentation that is generated and also evaluate the participants.

The digitization of the process has been a milestone in the training of specialists in the health sector, in their bachelor's degrees or university degrees in biology, biochemistry, nursing, pharmacy, physics, medicine, psychology and chemistry, who thanks to Docentis have managed to free themselves from a great amount of administrative burden and unify the entire management process.

In Spain, the MIR training system is already more than 40 years old and Royal Decree 183/2008 develops its deployment and includes the obligation that teaching units accredited by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality have of a Resident's Book where all assistance, teaching and research activity is recorded, as well as its entire planning, monitoring and evaluation process. Every year around 10,000 vacancies for new graduates in the field of health are offered, and they begin their training as specialists through the Residents Program.

Designed by the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, Costaisa is responsible for its development and implementation, and we are currently working on its integration with Moodle, the most widespread Learning Management System (LMS) worldwide. It is an open source platform with which we have been working for more than 10 years in a multitude of implementation and development projects.
