Costaisa participates in a technical conference on trends in the videoconferencing market for eHealth

Mateu quobisFrancesc Mateu, Director of Telemedicine at Costaisa, has participated in a webinar on the new online communication and collaboration channels that have emerged during the pandemic, which has had the participation of the main industry players.

"We have been since 2009 but the awakening in Spain we would say was in 2017. The boom has occurred in recent months and in any case, the effectiveness or not of teleconsultation has many nuances depending on each situation," said Mateu in his intervention, "before the deployment was very irregular in the private environment and very limited in the public environment. But after the Covid, the change has been exceptional, mainly because professionals have been forced to use these new channels and they have been mitigated their reluctance a lot. They have discovered a new channel and the possibilities it offers."

The vast majority of consultations made remotely are still carried out either by written consultation or by telephone, because there are still many aspects for improvement. Professionals cannot waste time solving problems of bad access, an internet cut or a problem with the devices, for example.

The event has been organized by Quobis, a company specialized in communication services for companies and service providers, and has shown different experiences of the use of videoconferencing in the health sector, both in communications between professionals and in the relationship of these with their patients.
