Costaisa has attended a technical conference organized by Asepeyo in collaboration with the College of Social Graduates of Barcelona, where they have been presented the implications of the new RD-law 28/2018 of developments in the field of Social Security, which came into force on January first.
In particular, an analysis has been made on how to deal with the new public benefits available for 2019 in the area of Social Security, labor and employment. During the session it was also analyzed how it affects the revaluation of pensions, the General Social Security Law, the Autonomous Work Statute and the Worker's Statute.
Among the new considerations we can highlight that self-employed workers are obliged to cover benefits in professional contingency and cessation of activity with a Mutual Insurance Society for Accidentes at Work, in addition to the coverage of temporary disability due to common contingency, mandatory to date.
In addition, the flat rate for self-employed workers which establishes the obligation to pay for professional contingencies is modified, and a single monthly fee of 60 euros is set, extending the duration of the cessation of activity until two years.
