Costaisa has been invited to participate in the VII Forum of Collaborating Entities of La Unió to present its telegeriatrics project, which until 2019 connected more than 30 centers and was the largest telemedicine network dedicated to the care of dependent elderly people in France. The session has brought together about 100 people, representatives of the Administration, representative institutions of geriatric sector and associated entities.
The presentation was made by Rafael Pardo, Senior Consultant in Digital Health in Costaisa, with more than 30 years of experience leading technological innovation projects, especially in the area of Health Information Systems (HIS), telemedicine, Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) and Business Intelligence (BI). In addition, he is Secretary of the Iberian Society of Telemedicine and Telehealth (SITT) and is a recognized activist of innovation in health in social networks.
Télégéria is a teleconsultation, distance assessment and geriatric assistance initiative for the network of two hospitals and thirty residences, in the sanitary region of the metropolitan area of Paris (Île-de-France), with more than 12 million inhabitants. The project associated the European Hospital Georges Pompidou (HEGP), the Gonesse Hospital and the Vaugirard Hospital with the network of residences.
The project included the Phemium telemedicine platform, the provision of the necessary equipment and its deployment in the territory. It includes teleconsultation services (orthopedics, dermatology, neurology and wounds and bandages), distance assessment (hematology and general medicine) and telecare.
La Unió is the oldest and oldest health and social business organization in Catalonia. Currently, there are more than 100 institutions with more than 60,000 workers, in specialized, primary, social and health care, mental health, dependency, image diagnosis, rehabilitation, clinical analysis laboratories and sanitary transport.
