Costaisa incorporates SilverlabNet into its portfolio of solutions for hospital management

Costaisa and Desarrollo de Aplicaciones Sanitarias (DAS), a company which works in developing healthcare applications, have agreed to work together to market SilverlabNet in Spain and the countries where they operate, as well as offering technical support services.

SilverlabNet is a Laboratory Information System (LIS) for managing the activity of any type of laboratory: Haematology, Haemostasis, Biochemistry, RIA, EIA, Microbiology, Immunology, Anatomical Pathology, TAO, C.Metadona, etc. It also has a Web portal for registering requests, printing reports and using results.

It is a product with a significant market penetration. Since 2003, SilverlabNet is a platform used by different devices of the Health Department of Catalunya, the Health Agency of Valencia, the Catalan Health Institute, Sescam and Osakidetza, among others.

According to Jordi Buisan, Director of Business Development at Costaisa, "we have strengthened our portfolio to be able to offer an integrated solutions suite which covers the technological information needs of any health centre".

Daniel Vila, Director of DAS, commented that "we are increasing the projection of our company and our products through a company such as Costaisa which is present in the health information technology sector with a relevant implementation on a national and international scale. Costaisa offers style, experience and commercial and technical potential for all types of operations at a high level both in the public and private sector. We have reached a collaboration agreement which will benefit the current products of our company and others in the future, in an attractive market which is in constant evolution".

Costaisa adds this laboratory management solution to its product suite which covers the majority of the requirements of the information systems in a healthcare centre, from the clinical area (HIS, telemedicine, PACS, nephrology, anatomical pathology, blood bank and biomedical research) to the non-clinical (ERP, ECM, quality control, interoperability, shift organization and management).
