Yesterday was the last day of the "ELIXIR Innovation and SME Forum: Genomics, bioinformatics and health - Public-private partnerships in open data", which was organised by Elixir España in conjunction with Bioinformatics Barcelona Association (BIB) and held in the auditorium of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park. The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and Biocat also took part.
Over the two-day event, companies and institutions were shown the potential benefits of using the free and public data resources and services within their field of action. Costaisa participated as a speaker in the block on corporate involvement in these types of settings and on sector-specific cooperation in innovation.
Costaisa has recently become a member of the BIB, joining some ten companies that represent the healthcare information technology sector and promote innovation and specialist training on the topic alongside the main universities, research centres and leading institutions in the sector.
