Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress closes its doors with new challenges for the healthcare sector in cybersecurity
Costaisa Group attended the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, the leading international cybersecurity event held from May 21 to 23, 2024 at the Gran Via de Fira Barcelona venue, which brought together more than 11,000 visitors to address the challenges and needs of the sector in the coming years.
During the Congress, disturbing figures were presented: 60% of Spanish companies suffered cyberattacks during 2023 according to INCIBE data, and the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia detected more than 4.424 billion cyberattacks during 2022, with the healthcare sector in the crosshairs. In 2022, 53% of the 543 healthcare entities consulted by CatSalut had suffered ransomware attacks, causing a halt in healthcare activity.
The congress also featured a commercial exhibition area where leading cybersecurity solution manufacturers presented their latest products. Costaisa Group is a partner of Cloudflare, Sealpath, Lacework, Forcepoint, Radware, Fortinet, Check Point or Kaspersky, among others.
Artificial Intelligence has also been a protagonist in different use cases with the use of machine learning for the protection of critical assets.
