The RIQCat registry featured at the 4th Dataconnect Workshop: collaborative innovation in healthcare data integration
Costaisa organized a workshop with Dataconnect clients, with notable participation from Salvador Cassany and Núria Clotet of the Pharmaceutical Control and Medical Products Service of the Department of Health, who inaugurated the session by explaining the operation and new developments of the regional registry for surgical implants, RIQCat.
During their presentations, they highlighted the benefits of the RIQCat system for improving healthcare, traceability of surgical implants, and responsiveness to safety alerts, as well as its potential for clinical and epidemiological research. Key topics were also discussed, such as the different submission methods (manual, automated, flat file), and the importance of interoperability between public and private centers in Catalonia and the Department of Health to achieve the system's objectives.
Next, Costaisa presented a practical demonstration of integrating these registry data through Dataconnect, showing how the platform enables dynamic consolidation and validation of relevant information for the implant registry, facilitating communication and reducing administrative workload for both clinical professionals and IT teams.
During the session and pilot demonstration, Costaisa's ability to respond quickly and flexibly to regulatory requirements, while avoiding overburdening responsible users in healthcare centers, was emphasized.
In this fourth edition, a retrospective was included on pioneering projects developed with Dataconnect, such as specific modules for mental health, referrals and specialized care, and success stories were showcased that demonstrate the company's capacity to support the digital transformation of centers, always aligned with flexibility, security and interoperability criteria.
