Costaisa takes part in the IESE Corporate Venturing Academy sponsored by Acció

Corporate Venturing Academy en el IESE Costaisa has completed the three-day immersion in the Corporate Venture Academy programme by IESE  and designed in collaboration with ACCIÓ, now in its second edition this year.

The purpose of the sessions is to raise awareness in different sectors of several aspects related to the design, implementation and execution of corporate venturing activities and/or collaboration with external start-ups in order to bring innovation to the company.

Essentially, it entails boosting the entrepreneurial initiative of established companies, highlighting the need to adopt entrepreneurial behaviour when developing their strategies in order to respond to the accelerated rate of technological change and to the high levels of growing competition in the majority of business sectors.

To this end, there are two major types of corporate venturing activities that are characterised by the way in which new business is developed in an established company, i.e., via "internal" development, created by the employees and which remain within the scope of the parent company, or "external" from independent or semi-independent units based outside the control of the parent organisation.
