Costaisa wins a strategic telemedicine project in France

TelemedicinaCostaisa will be in charge of the design and implementation of a teleconsultation, remote assessment and geriatric telecare service for the health area of metropolitan Paris (Île-de-France), composed of two hospitals and thirty residences. The project, worth almost €1 M, includes the telemedicine platform development, the provision of the necessary equipment as well as its distribution in the territory.

This solution would include: diary, video conference, clinical data from the medical devices connected to it, images and HCE. The telemedicine services related to the project are a teleconsultation service (orthopaedics, dermatology, neurology and injuries and bandages), remote assessment (haematology and general medicine) and telecare, with a future growth prevision when new centres apply to be added to the system.

The Télégéria IF solution would be hosted at a data centre located in France and legally certified to store medical data. It would be integrated in the healthcare professional portal from the Regional Digital Healthcare Space (ENRS). This space would become the main point of access for the regional applications in Île-de-France.

Costaisa leads a company consortium composed of CGI and Parsys, which would carry out the project, funded by the Regional Agency for Healthcare of Île-de-France (ARSIF), the public body in charge to implement healthcare policies in this region.

The Île-de-France health area is one of the most populated region in France, as well as one with the highest per capita incomes in the world. It is a very rich area in general, but there is a great imbalance: the GP density and hospital offer differs very much depending on the territory, and the medical-social offer is insufficient in the central part.

The proposed solution would help reducing these inequalities, improve their quality of life and reduce costs, as the transport needs for the patients would be avoided.
