Artificial Intelligence, 5G, big data and Internet of Things back at MWC Barcelona

MWC y 4YFN 2021Costaisa has attended the now traditional Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which has seen its attendance cut by a third but that continues to claim its leadership on the world technology map, and points to the beginning of a recovery. After the cancellation of the 2020 edition, the organizers hope to bring together between 30,000 and 50,000 attendees.

As could not be otherwise, the chosen format has been hybrid, with a third of the exhibiting companies and speakers present virtually. Artificial Intelligence, smart cities, 5G (and 6G), big data and the Internet of Things once again dominated the media agenda in an atypical year.

Health-related applications and the use of mobile phones also had a space reserved for them, and interesting initiatives created during the pandemic were presented, such as monitoring and tracking devices, the use of artificial intelligence in their detection, the prescription of healthy lifestyle habits and the monitoring of chronic diseases.
