The future of diagnostic imaging goes through artificial intelligence and humanization

Rollup del VIII Congreso de Radiólogos de CataluñaCostaisa has been invited to participate in the VIII Congress of Radiologists of Catalonia that has been held from 29 to 31 May at the Axa Auditorium in Barcelona. Rafael Pardo, senior Costaisa consultant in digital health and with a long career in health information technologies, has been invited to participate in a round table with leading experts from VHIO and Hospital de Bellvitge.

In his speech, Pardo has presented the main novelties in the image processing and Artificial Intelligence, and has analyzed the success and failure factors of different projects and initiatives that have recently been launched on the market. He has also analyzed the role of the neuroradiologist and the need to assume new roles that must be assumed in a short time horizon.

This congress is organized by the Society of Radiologists of Catalonia, who decided to focus the debate on the advances that are taking place in the specialty thanks to the innovation of information technologies, in particular, artificial intelligence.

These are changes that are taking place in the profession and that have demonstrated their added value for radiologists. Artificial intelligence and 3D imaging will allow, in the very near future, a precision radiology that will allow personalized medicine.
