Althaia implements Docentis to monitor the training of its residents

Sala de actos de AlthaiaCostaisa has been responsible for the development and implementation of the platform for monitoring the healthcare, teaching and research activity of Althaia's Medical Interns in Residence (MIR), Clinical Psychologists in Residence (PIR) and Internal Nurse Residents (EIR).

Althaia is a private non-profit foundation that offers comprehensive services to people in the health and social fields, and has a team of about 1,850 professionals in its provision of services: primary care, specialized care, dependency care, mental health and sports medicine. Each year it welcomes more than 20 new residents in medicine, nursing and clinical psychology, for its 14 accredited specialties.

In the two and a half months of implementation, 55 residents, 16 tutors and 3 management and teaching support users have joined the platform. The solution implemented by Costaisa, Docentis, provides a collaborative online environment where managers, tutors and residents can centralize all their daily operations, collect all the documentation that is generated and also evaluate the participants.

Since 1994, Althaia has developed an intense work in the training of specialist professionals. The first accredited unit was Family and Community Medicine and was soon followed by Internal Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing units. At the end of 2002, coinciding with the creation of the Althaia Foundation, new teaching units were added: Pediatrics and its specific areas, General and Digestive System Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Clinical Psychology and Clinical Oncology.
