Conference on health data in Catalonia organized by the BIB and future challenges for system agents
Costaisa has attended the conference "Health data in Catalonia" organized by Bioinformatics Barcelona (BIB) together with Amgen, at the Convalescence House, with the participation of the Conseller and the bulk of the ICT area of the Health Department, as well as leading health service providers.
The Department is leading a macro-project to streamline information systems for all health and social providers in Catalonia, which involves the simplification of the current ecosystem and the aggregation of services.
Ana Ripoll, President of the BIB, reviewed the history of the organization and the challenges facing bioinformatics in health in the future: the training of talent, data culture, the ethical and moral aspects of data sharing, and technological advances and their limitations.
The BIB is a non-profit association for the promotion of training, research, the transfer of knowledge and technology, stimulating competitiveness and innovation within the industrial sector, in the field of bioinformatics.
